Priestly Ordination - Deacon Melvin Paul

Deacon Melvin Mangalath Paul is currently in his final stages of becoming a priest for the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago. He is receiving His Priestly Ordination on May 16, 2020 at the Mar Thoma Sleeha Cathedral in Chicago, followed by First Holy Qurbana on May 17, 2020 at St. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in Halethorpe, MD.

During his undergraduate in Accounting, he felt the call to the priesthood and transferred to University of Loyola in chicago while attending seminary at St. Joseph  College Seminary. Upon completing his bachelor's degree in Philosophy, he took a year of recency in various parishes in the diocese for pastoral exposure to the Syro-Malabar Church. Now, after completing his theological studies in Rome, he is preparing for his big day to serve Christ and His Church.
